Two More Days…

I’ve spent my entire day furiously reading the DC Tri Club forum posts about the DC Tri, and now I’m gearing up to gear up at the expo. Literally–my DC Tri (club) gear came in in time, and I’m going to go pick it up and wear it on Sunday. I know you’re not supposed to, but I’ll test it on Saturday, and honestly, the sprint isn’t that long of a race. (Famous last words.)

I’ll be back eventually with some pictures from the expo and tomorrow’s practice swim. I’m so excited and feeling so READY to do this! And yes, the water will definitely be in the “wetsuit discouraged” ranged. Good thing I bought one. But I’m seriously considering not wearing it, which is a huge testament to how good I’m feeling about it. The swim is still going to be scary, but I don’t think my wetsuit is as much of a crutch as I thought it was going to be. I have already swum 800 meters without it once…

  1. Good luck to you! It sounds like a great race. As to the wetsuit–if you’re even wavering, I’d bag it. You may be a couple of minutes slower, but then you’ll make up for lost time in transition. Have a blast!

  2. Good luck my friend, I’ll be thinking of you, I know you are going to do great!! Remember, have fun above all else!
